Engle Wins Masters At 2021 Go! St. Louis Marathon

Congratulations to Chuck Engle on Saturday for his 367th sub 3-hour marathon in his 457th marathon finish on the #Roadto500.

Chuck completed the Go! St. Louis Marathon in St. Louis, Missouri in 2:56:23.

He now has run 422 marathons where his finishing time qualified him for the Boston Marathon, which he has run 13 times including nine times as a masters runner.

He won the masters division on Saturday, his first such win in eight races where he won masters all three days of the Lake Tahoe Triple in 2019.

It was his 49th overall masters win, inlcuding his 68th top three podium spot and the 27th state for Chuck to win the masters division in.

He is now seven states away from a third sub-3 in all 50 states, needing just Maine, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hamshire, New Mexico and South Dakota.

He is also now seven states away from a masters sub-3 in all 50 states, with Alabama, Maine, Montana, New Hamshire, New York, Oklahoma and Wisconsin to complete.

All five of his marathons on April 10th have been sub 3-hour marathons, spanning 16 years from 2005 to 2021.

It was Chuck's eighth marathon in the state of Missouri and all have been under three hours, including three overall wins and four second-place finishes.
